Elon Musk sparked major controversy on social media Thursday by claiming former President Donald Trump is listed in documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

“@RealDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files,” Musk posted on X in the afternoon. “That’s the real reason they’ve stayed secret. Enjoy your day, DJT!”

He followed it up with a warning: “Bookmark this post. The truth will surface.”

The accusation came during a heated online exchange between Musk and Trump, escalating tensions between the two public figures.

Not long after Musk’s post, Trump responded on Truth Social. “I don’t care that Elon flipped on me, but he should’ve done it a while ago,” he said, shifting focus to a major spending and tax bill currently being considered by the Senate. He called it “one of the greatest bills ever” and touted it as delivering a record $1.6 trillion in budget cuts and the biggest tax break in U.S. history. He warned that failure to pass the bill could lead to a massive 68% tax hike and other severe consequences.

“I didn’t create this mess — I’m here to fix it. This bill sets the country back on the right path. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” he added.

Later, Trump fired back more directly at Musk, saying he had asked him to step down from a federal position due to growing frustrations.

“Elon was becoming too much — I asked him to leave. I also revoked his electric vehicle mandate that forced people to buy cars they didn’t want, and he knew I’d been planning that for months. That’s when he lost it,” Trump wrote.

Powerful Earthquake Strikes Northwestern Turkey, Killing One and Flattening Buildings

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck northwestern Turkey over the weekend, killing one woman and causing the collapse of at least 16 buildings in Balikesir province , authorities confirmed. According to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya , the tremor’s epicenter was located in the town of Sindirgi , but shocks were felt as far as Istanbul , Turkey’s most populous city.
